- He began his youth career at VfB Stuttgart and later joined the academy of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
- Selke made his professional debut for Werder Bremen in 2013.
- He has represented Germany at various youth levels, including the U-16, U-17, U-19, and U-21 teams.
- Selke has also played for RB Leipzig and Hertha BSC before joining 1. FC Köln in 2021.
- He is known for his physical presence, aerial ability, and clinical finishing in front of the goal.
- Selke is an avid gamer and streams his gameplay on Twitch.
